Introversion

Just wanted to remind myself and anyone that comes across this post that being introverted is not bad. If it were unnecessary, it would have been wiped out through thousands of years of evolution. 

A mindset that I deveolped in Japan is that of balance. At both ends of the personality spectrum, a completely introverted person and a completely extroverted person are unrealistic. There are benefits of both.

If you're either of the two, I recommend you set some time to practice the other.

Introverts: Work your way into having more conversations. You can practice speaking at places like Toastmasters, or reading communication books like "How to Win Friends and Influence People."

Extroverts: Work on some quality alone time. Spend time in your day alone. Whether that be on some art form like music or writing, reading a book, or watching a movie.
