Journaling| Categories: Meditations
A few weeks ago, I had a great conversation with my cousins about keeping emotions inside. We surmised that doing so eventually builds up and without a release, a build up of emotions can destroy us. I've been journaling for over a year now. While not 100% consistent, it has helped me get out of my head by putting my thoughts on paper, thus giving me that release. Recently I have been journaling before bed, whereas I was previously waking up early to spend time recalling the previous day. This new method of nightly journaling has helped me get that release before bed, instead of having my thoughts race while I lay down to sleep. Many great people in history have kept journals for self reflection, scheduling and accountability. I recommend you give journaling a try if it isn't a part of your daily practice.
